Rilke on the Infinite

This is a challenge for the homebodies and those imprisoned in their shells. Admittedly one of the two, this is a constant reminder for me to put myself out there more.

Comfortable in the closeted space that is my brain, I rarely share my thoughts. Or when I do, they come out in trickles – always restrained.  When Rilke wrote this, I’m sure he meant to talk to the perpetually anxious, the scared one who dare not experience the world in all its absurdity.

Now is as good as any other day to start spending more time out in the open!
